Green Turn with Mathematics (RKE149)

This course provides essential mathematical tools for solving sustainability challenges, with a focus on modeling and data analysis, while offering a unique international experience alongside Finnish students in Aland University of Applied Sciences.

Brief introduction to the subject content:

The course delves into the application of mathematical methods to address pressing sustainability challenges. Students will learn to model, analyze, and predict the outcomes of various decisions in sustainability, developing the ability to evaluate indicators and critically assess mathematical approaches. 

Given the growing importance of sustainability in global decision-making, this course offers students the opportunity to develop relevant skills in an international setting, working alongside Finnish students in both online and face-to-face sessions. This cross-cultural collaboration not only enhances learning but also prepares students for the global nature of sustainability work.
